Raw and Wild Cafe, Bowral ♥

Sunday, November 16, 2014

Weekends away seem to be a distant past for me so when the girls suggested a weekend away on the farm, I was in! Eventually not so in as I could only stay for the brunch and tulip adventure to get back to Sydney :(

Bowral tulip time
Raw and Wild is the first cafe on Bowral's main street. The shop front is a marketplace that sells all kinds of healthy stuff like wholefoods, natural, organic, gluten free, biodynamic - you name it and you'll find it here. The cafe is out the back where there's big wooden benches, smaller cosy tables and an open deck outdoor area.

Cappuccino
After the hour an a half drive, we all got our caffeine fix and checked out the menu which boasted a delicious breakfast spread including eggs benedict, baked potato gallette, quinoa crepes, french toast, grilled polenta, wild omelette your way plus other options - it was so hard to choose!

"Best eggs benedict" with salmon $18.00
Labelled as the best eggs benedict, we only expected the best but just imagine one poached egg with a piece of smoked salmon on half a muffin with hollandaise sauce... all for $18.

"Poached eggs perfection" with smoked salmon $17.00
I love my oozing yolky goodness so couldn't go past this poached eggs perfection. It was a perfect combination with zucchini and corn fritters and goats cheese. You can also get mushrooms and spinach instead of smoked salmon.

Wild breakfast $20.00
The Wild breakfast gave you plenty of options with eggs your way and four choices of sides on organic toast. Above there's organic haloumi, avocado, slow roasted tomato and mushrooms. You could also choose bacon, chorizo or pork & apple sausage.

Organic potato rosti $18.00
You can't see the organic potato rosti here but it's hidden in there amongst the bacon, poached egg. tomatoes and avocado salsa. V1 liked her rosti and the fact that it was real avocado salsa.

Old mout hot berry cider $9.00
Another round of drinks to finish off our brunch, I opted for the old mout hot berry cider served with real cinnamon sticks and slices of apple. It smelt delicious and tasted pretty good, perfect on a cold winters day.

Hot chocolate and marshmallows
Raw and Wild provides an alternate to the fresh organic cafes in Sydney with a delicious list of wholesome brunch dishes and drinks to complement. This is what weekends should be about - fresh country air, healthy wholesome food, no responsibility and some girly time  ♥.
