That's how a Great Australian Spelling Bee contestant would spell it but how would they say it? How do you say it? Is it "pah-lee-o" or "pay-lee-oh"? The trusty google search confirmed both versions are right.


Then there's my version. As I ordered the Paleo breaky, "pah-lay-o" tumbled out of my mouth. Oops. After that, our waiter seemed to have paleo on his mind calling our juice paleo! At least he said it right. So where was this paleo crime scene? INC Cafe in Cronulla.

Located at the southern end of Cronulla Mall, INC Cafe oozes an urban eclectic vibe with a pretty cool interior setup. If it's not exposed brick walls then it's vintage tattoo inspired graffiti murals and chairs that are all upholstered with unique fabrics and patterns.

Large $4.50, Pina juice $7.50

The breakfast fare is simple done absolutely well. There's that one paleo dish along with the classics - bacon and egg roll, eggs benedict, omelette, muesli, pancakes or you can create your own with eggs on toast plus your selection of sides.

Paleo breaky with eggs your way $20

My "pah-lay-o" breaky was amazing. The tea smoked salmon flaked and melted in the mouth while the roasted sweet potato added a unique sweet dimension to the kale, mushrooms and fresh avocado. I may not be able to say this dish right but I can definitely say it's good.

The Stack $15 extra sides egg $2 bacon $4 - tastes as good as it looks

This stack tasted as good as it looks - kale, smashed avo, quinoa, toasted cherry tomatoes topped with grilled halloumi. In the background is the extra delicious crispy bacon. Definitely recommend this dish.

Tempted to get the nutella pancakes, we fought off the urge so we could save it for our next visit. I might even try one of their paleo muffins and say it right. The staff here are really friendly and service is great. Normally serving breakfast until 11.45am we were lucky to be there while they trial all day breakfast until 3pm - no doubt this will be a winner!
